As well as looking after the spiritual needs of the local community, part of the mission of churches has always been to work among and for the well-being of the entire local community, not just for the benefit of those who attend Worship services. As part of our commitment to supporting the local community we offer spaces for hire to individuals, groups and organisations in addition to life events such as Baptism, Weddings and Funerals.

Whether it be a concert or coffee morning we have various spaces available in the City of Hereford that will suit your needs, you can explore our options below.

St Peter's Church

St Peter's was founded in 1074 and is the oldest and largest parish Church in the city with links to John Venn. Popular with for concerts due to it's acoustics this 950 year old church with optional servery and Steinway Piano is available for hire.

St James' Church

St James was first built in 1867 and is spacious and well proportioned church. A firm family favourite with links the local primary school. Having had building work in 2024 which replaced the pews with chairs, it makes a great space for all ages.

Church House

In addition to hosting the Parish Office for SPSJ this building is next to St Peter's church in the City Centre. Our upstairs rooms are currently all taken however a community hall and adjoining kitchen are available for meetings and activities.
