VIRUS SAFETY

Sunday services are back to normal, following the COVID-19 pandemic, at both St Peter's Church (10am) and St James' Church (8.45am- traditional communion, 10.30am- Family Worship). We are still taking proactive action, having learned lessons from the pandemic, to keep our buildings a safe place to be. Please read more below.

What are we doing?

As a parish we have been actively engaging, through risk assessments and regular planning, with the challenges of COVID-19 and other viruses that are circulating more prevalently following it.

Our priority is the safety of those who enter our buildings and attend events, whether you have come to worship with us, hire our buildings, or are visiting us. With this in mind, we are constantly keeping our current measurers under review in line with any government guidelines as part of our ongoing risk assessment, and in some cases going above and beyond what is recommended.

In general we are back to business as usual, however, we still have sanitising stations at the entrances to our buildings for those who prefer, and we are very happy for those who wish to, to wear masks.

The biggest preventative method, for whatever virus, is for those who are feeling unwell do not attend worship or activities until they feel better. This is something we encourage in every situation.

For those nervous about visiting in person, or not feeling well, then you are very welcome to watch our online video service and engage with us that way, which we continue to offer. You can find it here - St Peter's and St James Church, Hereford - YouTube - on our YouTube Channel.

If you would like to attend one of our services or events but are worried about COVID or othe virus safety, please do contact us via office@spsj.org.uk or phone Tom our Head of Operations on 07984321969 for a friendly chat. We would like you to feel safe and welcome in joining us in whatever way you might wish to visit or engage, whether in person or virtually.
