Kids Church at St James'

We meet on the 2nd - 5th Sundays of the month in term time. Children cometo the first part of the 10.30 service, then are accompanied by the children’s leaders to the school next door for age appropriate teaching, games and craft . The children are brought back to the church at the end of the service.

Parents are always welcome to join us if they wish. All adults involved with our children and young people hold enhanced DBS certificates.

Sunday Club

Sunday Club is for children of 4 years plus and meets on the first Sunday ofthe month (unless otherwise stated) instead of Kidz Church. The children are welcomed at 10:30 in St James’ School Hall. Sunday Club is especially popular as croissants and toast are enjoyed before games, activities and Bible teaching. The children prepare a drama or artwork which is then shared with the adult congregation who have followed a similar theme in their worship. The children are escorted into church in time to do this within the service. D2B aged young people participate in Sunday Club as young leaders.

ACCESS meets each week on Sunday evening 7:00-8:00 pm at St Peters/Close House to have fun and to see what the Bible says  about  life and living as a Christian. Our name comes from Romans 5:1-2 which says we can have access to God through faith in Jesus. We meet on Sunday evenings (during term time).

Messy Church

Messy Church @ St James’ is held on second Mondays (except August) from 3.15 – 5.30.  At each session, families hear a story from the Bible and do crafts and activities which (loosely!) reinforce the story. We end with a fun song, crazy games, a prayer and a yummy meal. We welcome all children and their adults. We look forward to seeing you at our next Messiness.

Contact the Parish Office or just come!
